Many homeowners repairing hurricane damage do it with insurance proceeds. Metro Builders' role is the contractor's role: we document the damage thoroughly, and once you and your insurer have an approved scope, we do the work — mitigation, roofing and rebuild.

What we don't do: we don't file claims, interpret your policy, negotiate with your insurer or act as your adjuster. Florida law reserves that for licensed public adjusters and your own insurance company. We also never offer to pay or waive a deductible — doing so is insurance fraud under Florida law.

What we do: dated photos, drone imagery, moisture readings, measurements and a clear written scope of the work we recommend — plus a crew that shows up and does it.

Florida law (s. 489.147, F.S.) prohibits contractors from offering a rebate, gift, gift card, cash, coupon, waiver of any insurance deductible, or anything of value in exchange for a roof inspection or for making an insurance claim. The property owner is responsible for any insurance deductible. Metro Builders is a licensed contractor, not a public adjuster: we do not file claims, interpret policies or negotiate with your insurer.
